Loving Britney Spears, Jenifer Aniston and Kim Kardasian
The Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardasian and Britney Spears trio are arguably three of the most important culture icons of our time. Each in their own way symbolizes different ideals, but provide roles models, better or worse for large segments of the population.
Britney Spears - the teenage superstar, multi-millionaire - who should have everything anyone could wish for, has shown us her vulnerable side, the slide into crazy dis-functional parent, with glazed look, shorn hair and glazed look, only to rise again to release a brilliant new record and get ready for a national tour where she will make more millions. Who could not identify with or long to be one or more of her two or three personalities?
Jen, highly successful but vulnerable gets the most sympathy votes from fans. Which fan does not side with her in the most public of brawls with Angela Jolie - she didnt’ get the man, and now has to endure the slights from her ex-husband turned philanthropist. She is kind of dull, but she is the typical kind of person everyone male wants to spend their lives with, and the type that every women wants to be - ordinary enough to be attainable - beautiful and talented enough to be riveting.
It is hard to know exactly why Kim Kardasian shoud be included in this group. However judging by Google searches, she rates somewhere between the volume for Britney Spears (2,7 Million) and Jennifer Aniston (1.2 Million). By contract the iron maiden looking in, Angela Jolie get only 673,000. Once we get through the initial shock of Kim Kardasian’s prominently displayed breasts however, she is by by measures the most interesting of the group. Not the greatest talent, but note the following: stepfather is Bruce Jenner - providing her with 6 step siblings. Her godfather is O.J. Simpson. She is the daughter of Robert Kardasian who (successfully) defended O.J. in his murder trial. If that was not enough, she has two sisters whose names also start with the letter K. In spite of a lucklustre film career, she has appeared on Dancing with the Stars, and in a reality show (what else) - not to mention her forthcoming perfume and an exercise DVD. Could there possibly not be a large group of people somewhere that could not identify with two or three or her sides?
